Our next meeting was held in the Coltrane Room of the Central United Methodist Church located at 30 Union Street N, Concord, NC.
Members nominated charities for consideration and the local nonprofits are listed on the website at 100MenWhoCare. Active members can nominate a local organization at anytime. We had the following groups presented by members.
- The Junior Charity League of Concord – Serving the children of Cabarrus County since 1930. Projects include the Miriam Schramm Clothing Room serving economically disadvantaged children in Cabarrus County and Kannapolis City Schools and Safety Town ,which provides rising kindergarteners with age-appropriate safety rule experiences in a fun and unique format.
- Coltrane LIFE Center – Their mission is to improve the quality of life for frail and impaired adults and their families through specialized adult daytime services. Coltrane LIFE Center offers an affordable alternative to in-home, assisted living, or nursing home care.
- Esther’s Heart for Transformation Ministry – committed to serving God and the needs of others through character empowerment, support, encouragement, motivation, and hunger relief.
