Thanks to everyone who came to our spring meeting tonight. We had a great group in attendance and several new faces as well! Welcome to new members Lori Clay and Howard Layson.
We heard outstanding presentations by representatives of Esther’s Heart for Transformation Ministry, SURF (Service, Unity, Recovery Foundation), and the Community Free Clinic. This cycle’s donation has been awarded to Esther’s Heart for Transformation Ministry, committed to serving God and the needs of others through various empowerment workshops, support, encouragement, motivation, and hunger relief. Nominated by Margaret and Wayne Dabbs.
Our next meeting is Thursday, July 24, at 7 pm at Covenant Classical School, 3200 Patrick Henry Drive, Concord. Thanks to Angela and Michael Quillen for hosting.
Nominations for our next cycle are now open. Any member can nominate a local non-profit. The only requirements are that the organization is a 501 c 3 and that all funds will be used in Cabarrus County. A random drawing will be held to determine presenters if more than three non-profits are nominated.
Contact Elaine or Jack with any questions.
Together, we are making a difference! This cycle has generated at least $4500 for our designated non-profit. After this cycle’s distribution, we will have donated nearly $70,000 to local non-profits since our inception in July 2021.
