Thanks to everyone who joined us for our Q1 meeting!
We were grateful to be hosted by last quarter’s recipient, The Junior Charity League of Concord. Their Executive Support Director, Chrissy Hayes, shared how our $5,310 donation supported The Clothing Room—a program that provides new clothing and shoes to economically disadvantaged students in Cabarrus County and Kannapolis City Schools. It was wonderful to see the direct impact of our giving.
This quarter’s nominee presentations were truly outstanding and inspiring. We heard from El Puente Hispano, The Open Door House, and Hellfighters of Concord Mission at the Cross. While the vote was very close, El Puente Hispano was selected as this quarter’s recipient. Their mission is to connect and integrate the Hispanic community in Cabarrus County by providing information, education, resources, and guidance to foster self-sufficiency and productivity. Our current donation total is $4,410.
Nominations are now open for our next giving cycle! Please mark your calendars for our next meeting on Thursday, April 23, at 7:00 pm. and invite a friend or neighbor to attend. Location details will be shared soon.
