Our Goal is to keep it simple, have a local focus and make an impact!
Below are the steps which are repeated each 3 months by our members.
You are agreeing to try to attend one weeknight meeting per quarter and commit to donate $100 per meeting ($400 per year) for the area. This is not a contract and you can withdraw at any time. As a member, you will be able to submit a local charity for consideration for the quarterly distribution.
As a Team Member – You will be eligible to participate in the meetings, make recommendations for local organizations that are important to you and vote. As a result, you will learn about services being performed by various groups of like minded people. Along the way, there is a good chance you will meet new friends.
Prior to the Meeting – Research and nominate a local charity that you would like to make a difference in for their organization. Click on the NOMINATE page and submit the basic information about the group. Remember each charity can only be awarded once for eighteen months, must be local and be a 501(c)3 to qualify.
Randomly, up to three of the nominated charities will be selected and the member who nominated the charity will be notified to present.
Consider the Charities – Members who submitted a charity for consideration will gather a fact sheet for distribution to other team members and will prepare or obtain a five minute presentation to share about the charity. As well, be prepared to field questions in a five minute session after the presentation. Nominations for consideration will be limited to three per meeting.
Quarterly meeting – Start with brief announcements and members will present their nominations and field any questions. If we are meeting virtually, presentations will be emailed and/or be presented via a zoom meeting. After the three presentations are heard, each member will cast a vote. The entire meeting will take less than one hour. It is exciting to see the impact to a charity within sixty minutes.
Ballots will be distributed for everyone present to record their vote. They must record their name to make sure they are in good standing.
The meeting will close and allow members to network for a few minutes in fellowship.
Members not attending the meeting will be notified of the presentations and allowed 3 days to get their vote sent in via email.
All members as well as the winning charity will be notified.
Results – Team members will participate in a presentation of the award to the charity as well as invite a representative to speak at the next meeting. For meeting only four nights, these 100+ People Who Care will give over $10,000 to a local Concord charity. It’s fast, efficient and amazingly effective.
Networking – We plan to conduct meetings virtually as well as have an open environment to network and have a refreshing beverage.
